Douglas C. Varvil-Weld, Ph.D.

Education and credentials: M.A., Ph.D., University of Maryland; Licensed Psychologist (State of Wisconsin, Psychology Examining Board); National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology; Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology, Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards. Specialty services: Treatment for children, adolescents, marriages and families; attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, depression, anxiety, anger, children's issues, parenting, and stress-related problems; and psychological evaluations. Professional affiliation: American Psychological Association, Wisconsin Psychological Association, Society for Personality Assessment, Division of Independent Practice (Division 42 of the American Psychological Association), and the American Psychology–Law Society (Division 41 of the American Psychological Association). Provides services at these locations: Portage, Richland Center and Columbus.

Dr. Varvil-Weld has been a resident of the Portage area for many years, spending his professional life in private practice at the Pauquette Center since 1985. He has been the Director of the Pauquette Center since 1989. His wife, Marsha, is the Director of the Wisconsin Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program; he is the proud father of two children. He enjoys a range of interests including reading, running, travel, travel photography, scuba diving, college athletics (particularly, the Spartans of Michigan State University), guitar, music, theater, genealogy, household projects and time with his family and friends. He is a member of the Portage Rotary Club and has been a member of or served on the Boards of a number of community organizations.
